AOZIZ is a network of inclusive houses founded by two live performance companies based in Marseille, L’Autre Maison and L’Atelier de Mars, as well as a humanities research organisation, the CALEM Institute. AOZIZ aims to stimulate new intercultural encounters and facilitate alternative ways of being together. It looks at the language of inclusion within bodily practices and makes no judgment on what ideal bodies should be, but rather cultivates an aesthetic based on relationships. AOZIZ hosts a varied programme of courses, workshops, conferences and residencies inviting artists and audiences to deepen their research and exchange their ideas. AOZIZ is a space of embodied encounters. Ultimately, AOZIZ plans to open a space for inclusive and intersectional initiatives in Marseille.
