La clique, a Swiss architecture collective, sets up a place for speaking in Marseille’s public space: the Speakers’ corner. In collaboration with the Marseille-based association JUST, which fights for more social justice, the installation will regularly host animated events such as speeches, readings, workshops, theatrical or musical performances. In addition, the Speakers’ corner will be accessible to the public at all times for spontaneous speaking. By providing a space for various forms of expression, by encouraging exchanges and self-narratives, the intervention aims at the re-appropriation of urban space by all citizens – and more particularly by minorities who are often marginalized.
Several events and evenings are organised on Saturdays from 17.30 to 20.30:
- the 3rd of October: Open mic avec Dans la peau du B T I R, rap, hip-hop, slam and free musical expression…
- the 10th of October: Evening about housing, poor housing, accommodation and homelessness. Hosted by Scribzone.
- the 17th of October: Evening about the use of products, substances and others, with SaNg d’EnCRe for the release of their new issue.
Writing workshops from 18.00. - the 24th of October: Evening about asylum, with Sindiane – empowerment for asylum seekers
- the 31th of October: Integration evening about immigration, with Dans la peau du B T I R.
- the 14th of November: Evening around mental health, with CoFoR, ESPER pro, La Réhab. Hosted by Scribzone.
- the 21th of November: Peanuts evening, film and texts performed by the inhabitants of Libertaria, Belle de Mai.
- the 28th of November: Closing evening, slam hosted by Scribzone.
