“Built by men and for men, the city imagined yesterday has largely contributed to shaping the uses and relationships evolving in urban environment today.”
In Marseille and Sevran, the two theater directors, Wilma Levy (Cie des Passages) and Sarah Champion-Schreiber (Théâtre de l’Œuvre) invite women residents to reflect on their city.
As a woman, what is my relation to the city, to the neighborhood I live in? How do I perceive it? How does it constrain me? How do I claim it? How does it, sometimes, empower me? Together, these women share strategies, struggles, and demands for a more egalitarian city, tomorrow perhaps?
A choral show, staged by about thirty women, which offers a comparative perspective, an encounter between women from two cities who share common aspects and challenges, particularly major renovation projects.
