Discover the sound programme in collaboration with Radio Grenouille from the 29th of August until the 9th of October 2020, part of the public programme of Traits d’union.s.
For the first Listening Session, Radio Grenouille-Euphonia has asked Elena Biserna to look at the current feminist movements and will broadcast Voix debout by Elena Biserna and Carole Rieussec.
According to Paul B. Preciado, “We were on the verge of a decolonial transfeminist uprising” on the 8th of March 2020: an international revolt that culminated in the feminist strike. A few days later, in France and other countries, the health crisis and lockdown measures seemed to suspend this momentum: by depriving us of this collective body, by fragmenting our voices, by atomising our lives, by isolating us. But the songs, the vibrations, the rebellious energy of this mobilisation continued to resonate throughout the lockdown and fuelled new forms of alliance, exchange, resistance and solidarity.

Part of the public programme and in collaboration with Radio Grenouille, the Listening Sessions feature sound performances that will take place at different venues during the biennial. Two of them also include an artist residency. Radio Grenouille has conceived collective listening experiences that introduce the audience to the principles of listening. Collective listening places sound at the centre of a social moment, reactivating and sharing speech.
