As a Satellite venue for the central exhibition programme Traits d’union.s and its plot The Home, Bel Horizon presents The Keepers. One-dimensional Sphere Game and The Gravity, works by participant Arseny Zhilyaev.

The Keepers. One-dimensional Sphere Game presents fragments of a museum exhibition from a potential future. The costume display commemorates a football match from the dystopian future of Marseille, an ultra-defensive version of the game with only goalkeepers left. The teams are police, local residents, activists, artists – social groups often involved in conflict. These four sculptural displays are hosted by different institutions throughout the city: a historic 19th-century bourgeois home transformed into a museum; the residential skyscraper Bel Horizon from the 1950s, which is in need of renovation and the new luxurious rental experience of Hôtel Dieu Intercontinental.

The Gravity is a participatory performance. The project developed out of Arseny Zhilyaev’s ongoing experiments with live action role-playing (LARPing) – a genre of real-life role-playing game where participants negotiate their actions according to a shared script.

A weekly workshop with the Bel Horizon team from 17.00 – 21.00
The Gravity  Live Action Rôle Playing Game is a participatory performance. For 2 hours and 30 minutes, you will guided by a team of performers through a serie of artwork recreation in order to come close to the acquisition of time management and in particular, constructing eternal life.

Due to the specificity of the epidemiological situation we would like to inform you that :
– It is essential to wear a mask during the whole workshop.
– The officially recommended distance is one and a half metres, however some training activities require closer contact. If you do not wish to allow physical contact, please bring an object that you will use instead as a replacement of your body.

In the residential building Bel Horizon, we invite you to explore two projects developed by Arseny Zhilyaev. In the ground floor, an installation of The Keepers. One-dimensional Sphere Game and in the 18th floor, an apartement exhibition of The Gravity project.
