Manifesta 13 Marseille is the 13th edition of the world’s only nomadic biennial with its first ever edition in France in 2020. Its programme is divided into three different, yet connected, programmes that have been created over the past two years.

Traits d’union.s, the central biennial programme conceptualised and brought together by Manifesta’s Artistic Team comprised of three outstanding practitioners in their fields of contemporary art and architecture. Traits d’union.s consists of 6 plots that will unfold one after another between the 28th of August until the 9th of October from which point they can be viewed concurrently until the 29th of November 2020.

Le Tiers Programme, an initiative of Manifesta’s Education and Mediation department that has been created together with educators, mediators, artists, researchers, teachers and other inhabitants of Marseille. The programme is a collection of interrelated research-based projects which will unfold across the city from September 2019 onwards.
